Hello world. My name is Marissa Lawson, but you can call me Lucy. Lefty Lucy. First off, I'm not even sure what a blog is or what I'm even doing, but I'm not gonna say nothing I wouldn't say in a microphone, so if this turns up later somewhere in my files, what do I care? So this blog ain't even about me in the first place. Its about Maroon 5. My favorite band, personality, people, human beings on the universe. Adam and Jesse and Matt and Mickey and James, I love them all. Ryan too. RIP from Maroon 5, Ryan. I do love Matt Flynn though. I love all of them.
So, first off, this is about Maroon 5, each member, how I feel about them (as if anyone cares about my opinion :P) and how they have inspired me.
ADAM LEVINE
I first heard Adam (at least to my knoledge) when I was 13. I was fiddling with the car radio on a cold day in wintertime. It was "She Will Be Loved", and I thought it was the prettiest song I'd ever heard. That voice was like no other, so perfect. I had no idea who Adam was or what he looked like, but I imagined a nice young guy, cute face, maybe a blonde or something. I didn't have a computer then, so when we went to the library later on that week, I looked up "She Will Be Loved" and found the name "Maroon 5". I laughed and thought of "The Beatles" or something, a funny name like that. I lost track of it and forgot about it untill later.
Then, once the new album came out years later, I heard "One More Night" on youtube, on accident, and from that moment on I was in love with him. I listened to that song over and over for weeks. I finally looked Maroon 5 up and saw Adam Levine for the first time, and all his sexy tattoos, that smile, beautiful face, georgous body, cute voice, from that day on I've thought about him every day. He and Maroon 5 are a part of my everyday life.
Adam Levine was diffrent to me. Something new and completely left-from-center of what I knew a man to be. I grew up in a small town called Crawfordville, Florida. The only men I knew were rough, tough redneck men. No LA kids came our way. Untill I entered the world of Maroon 5, I never knew a man that could be cute and funny and sweet and at the same time sexy as hell.
This guy is amazing. He's sweet, his singing voice and his talking voice are both adorable and flawless, he seemed like (from the interviews I watched, and believe me, there were millions) just a nice, down to earth kind of guy; and to top it all off, he was drop-dead georgous. Adam Levine was my hero from my lifestyle, Maroon 5 being my only escape from boring old nothingville.
And as I listened more and more to their music, watched the interviews, read the history, looked up pictures and scraps of information like a stalker and
really felt as if I "knew" the band, I found that my intense crush wasn't on just this one guy. I started realizing that as great as Adam Levine was, I couldn't just limit my love for this music to just Adam. Thats like crediting a movie to one person when it takes a million people to get it done. I was stuck in my "Adam only" fantasy land for at least a year, maybe a little more.
Anyways, on to the rest of the band.
JESSE CARMICHAEL
Gosh I love this guy. He was the first one after I started checking into the band a little closer that really struck me as diffrent. In a good way. He was cute, he had a child-like smile and eyes that were happy and secretive at the same time. He was diffrent, 100% unlike anyone I'd ever seen before. Not in the same way as Adam either. See, what first attracted me to Adam was looks first, then I grew to love him. But the second I saw Jesse it was as if I'd known and loved him all my life. I know, I know, its sounds stupid as hell. But I'm serious. He was so awsome to me, so unique. He plays keyboards, backround vocals and sometimes guitar too.
I watched his youtube videos, saw his Tumblr blog or whatever. And I got to know him within those pages. It was so wonderful because, reading what he had written day to day, his music he posted, little ideas he had put to music and pictures of his personal life, I began to feel like I knew the real Jesse. It made me happy and made me love him even more.

He's like no other person ever. You know everyone has a preasents, well, this guy's presents is peace. Everything about him is peaceful. His voice is calm and smooth and his singing voice is wonderful and soft and calming. I just love him. I play piano and guitar myself, like him, and there's nothing I'd like better than to sit down with him for hours and just talk and play piano and guitar. There are so many things he could teach me, and it coming from Jesse Carmichael, I'd remember it forever. i think he's one of the best guys in the world right now because he's so positive ans peaceful. His music (1863) is so peaceful and refreshing its amazing. I really wish I could meet him one day. Also I love the name Jesse, for a girl or a guy. Maybe I'll name one of my kids after you, Jesse. I've already promised my first-born's name to my Gaurdian Angels, Michael Landon and Victor French. But thats another blog's worth.
I think Victor Michael sounds cool, but so does Jesse Royal!

MICKEY MADDEN
Those. Freaking. Eyes. Kill. Me.
Thats what I thought about the first time I saw him. It was when his hair was still long, the pictures I saw of him. Green eyes that are huge and captivating. I don't really know much about him, rather than he has a much deeper voice than the others and he acts just like a down-to-earth guy. His smile is infectious, I've seen it so many times. I know he's been friends with Adam for a long long time, from the time they were little kids. But I think the friendship I love is that of Adam and Jesse. I mean, they are just cute together! Like brothers only better. They are so diffrent, and every time they are around each other you see the close bond they have. Mickey, little is known about him in my book. He's sort of misterious like Jesse.
I know he plays great bass guitar!
MATT FLYNN
So freakin cute! He really offers a more mature face to the bunch. He's like 10 years older than the rest of the guys, but the cool thing is, he don't look like it. He's sexy as hell to be 43! Married with like 3 kids or something too.
He's never in the interviews, I know all the other guy's voices by ear except Matt's which is foreign to me. Not foreign, lol, but not recognisable. When I hear Adam or Jesse's voice, I automaticlly turn around expecting to see them. But I don't thing I could recognise his voice, because I've only heard it once or twice. Sad, he's so pretty and he's always smiling and laughing. He has an adorable, happy smile. Its one of those infectious, whenever you see him smile, you smile too.
I'd play his drums anytime, we'll just say that. He's 43 and I think he's hot. I don't think that way about many 43 year olds! (lol) Well, I don't know, I still think Michael Douglas is hot and he's what, early-60s so..........
JAMES VALENTINE
Guitar-face <3
He has the best guitar face. When he's tearing up the guitar on stage, really focusing on getting the best sound out of it, he completely swallows his lips into his mouth and scrunches his eyes down like he's in pain. Its so adorable!
I love his hair. That guy's got a BEAUTIFUL head of hair. But when Mickey's was long, his was pretty, and when Jesse's was long, his was pretty too. I really like James' hair though because its like the one thing that seperates him from everyone else and makes him unique to the band. Well, oviously his guitar skills make him unique to the band, but. . .
I like James. I like his skills, his hair, his personality. He seems like such a normal, regular guy. All of them do really. Thats what I love about this band. Everyone's so humble and down-to- earth, they really are just regualr guys that possess awsome talent. I love them all, including 1863 and (R.I.P.) Kara's Flowers. I love you, Maroon 5! Thank you for all that you were to me, are to me, and are going to be. Thank you for brightening my life and this world we live in. Thank You ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
